Maggie Drennon (vocals, violin, bass) had ten years classical training as a
child in piano, violin and flute, but didn't start singing until she formed
Ceíli's Muse with Mary Maddux in 1989. She later toured Ireland with The
Furey Brothers, also her greatest Irish music influence. In the past
decade, she has become famous for/ sought after/ stalked for her phenomenal
power on stage. It's been said her voice will blow the back of your head
out and you won't know you've been hit. Her love of collecting songs
provides the band with most of its material, which in turn has helped
develop a performance full of meaning and heritage. The last two CDs have
included original songs from her experience of Irish Americans and Celtic
folklore. She also owns Loose Goose Productions, a label, distributor and
production house for Celtic music.
