Celtic Rock like you've never heard!
This band is a powerful, road-tight group of five, with over twenty
instruments on stage, from Irish flute and fiddle to seething rock guitar
and drums, plus vocals that will blow the house down.
Audiences from Boston to Texas have discovered this band's ability to capture hearts with strong
lyrics and smart arrangements based on the Celtic heritage that is so
inherently full of meaning and substance. It's real talent. And with
tremendous acclaim from venues and music lovers across the country, this
performance is not to be rivaled.
Within six weeks of its debut in May 1998, SixMileBridge's first CD Across the Water
hit number six on the Celtic radio charts as reported to Crossroads magazine. The band immediately followed up with
unabridged -- a mix of live and studio performances -- in September 1998.
(Both CD's are available through Goosetracks - the
Loose Goose online catalog.)
The 1999 release of No Reason sold more copies at the prestigious
Celtic
Classic Festival than any other album and took the band into a whole other
league of popularity and demand.
February 11, 2001 is the long awaited release date of the fourth 6MB CD, a
hard-hitting record entitled No Strangers Here. The aggressive, smart
rhythmic base makes the new CD particularly danceable and more lighthearted
than the last recording. Available
online, at live performances or at Borders Books everywhere.
The band has also received tremendous critical acclaim for their rollicking live performances, including their
debut performances at the 1998 Milwaukee Irish Fest and the
Potomac Celtic Festival. They will also be featured
at the 1999 North Texas Irish Festival (Dallas, TX), the
Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival
(Bethlehem, PA), and in New York City for the St. Patrick's Day celebration at Connolly's
(including a Z100-FM simulcast). Watch the calendar,
and look for them everywhere.
